Where did the name The Hot Love Movement come from?
Simply put, it means being PASSIONATE about humanity and the environment we live in.
What is your mission?
The Hot Love Movement has the mission of creating a shift in global consciousness through spreading love, peace, sustainability and freedom of expression one person at a time.
What are the 4 pillars?
As you see by our mission, spreading love, peace, sustainability and freedom of expression are at the core of everything we do. Think of the 4 pillars as the foundation of the movement.
How did the movement start?
Very good question! About two years ago, it birthed from our shared appreciation for t-shirts. We wanted to make our own and express ourselves through them. Once we began tossing ideas around, not only did we realize that we have similar taste in fashion, but that our views of the world and our dreams of a better place are also the same. It made sense for our designs to express our stance on current events and issues as well as our aspirations to help better this planet that we all share.
What does my purchase support?
Your purchase supports PROJECTSUSTAIN.org. Project Sustain is a global effort focused on demonstrating the importance that sustainable development and the environment has far beyond global warming. Project Sustain is working to create models of self-sustainable development for low-income rural and urban populations in the US and abroad through the use of high-efficiency and low-cost technologies in the fields of renewable energy and agricultural science. The goal is to demonstrate tangible shifts in literacy rates, overall health, economic growth and political freedom just by addressing issues that most of us take for granted. What percentage goes to the cause?
Right now, approximately 20% of net profits go directly to support project sustain. As the movement continues to grow, so to will the percentage donated to Project Sustain.
Tell me about your products?
One glance, and you can quickly tell that we have a message, which we are currently spreading through fashion. However, we don’t consider ourselves a fashion company. In the future, we plan to use many different mediums to connect, inspire and empower.
Are your products produced using sustainable processes?
Our t-shirts and hoodies are made from environmentally safe, organically grown cotton. They are produced right here in the United States, using fair labor practices. The Print/Dye process does not use PVC and phthalates. We use water-based inks instead of plastisol (so no worries, if you iron touches the design!)
As our product line expands, we will continue to explore new and exciting ways to provide you products made out the of best materials (both new and recycled) and that are all conscious of the planet!
Washing instructions?
Since our neck label states that our shirts are made from 100% organic cotton, we figured that it self explanatory to wash the shirts in the same manner you would wash any other cotton shirts. We recommend that you wash your shirt with like colors and that you use an eco friendly detergent containing a lot less chemicals. They are just as efficient, smell much better and are not detrimental for our environment.
I own/buy for a store. Can I become a vendor?
While we are quite picky about what stores we are carried in, if you have a store that you feel has similar beliefs as The Hot Love Movement, feel free to email us at lookbook@thehotlovemovement.com
How do I place an order?
Click the “Shop” button in the upper right corner of the screen. You will then be taken to our store where you will see it is a fairly simple process. Be sure you are not blocking pop-up windows as you may have trouble when it is time to complete your order.
How do I track my order status?
Once you are logged in, you can click on your username at the top right corner of the screen and the “Manage my account” option will appear. Choose from the options listed to track your order status.
How do gift certificates work?
To redeem a gift certificate, enter your code during during 'step 2: shipping/payment' of the checkout process. The amount of your gift card will automatically be deducted from your order.
If you wish to purchase a gift certificate, please click the 'gift certificate' link on the shopping menu.
How secure is the site?
Any personal information given to The Hot Love movement will be protected. Your information will not be disclosed to any third parties.
In order to protect customers to the fullest extent, The Hot Love Movement does not store your credit card information in our system.
Added online security to protect your personal information from unauthorized use is provided by using advanced SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption.
What happens if you are out of stock?
Our website is designed to not allow the purchase of out of stock items. If you see 'out of stock' next to an item you would like, please click 'contact' in the lower right hand corner and send us a message to find out if we will be producing any additional items. In the event you purchase a shirt that is out of stock, we will notify you by email. You will have the option of refund, exhange or store credit.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payments made with VISA, MasterCard and American Express.
What shipping options do you offer?
We offer the following options for shipping:

Can I track my shipment?
Only UPS Ground, 2 Day, and Next Day orders have tracking numbers. You can track your orders through the “Manage your account” screen which is available by clicking your username in the upper right corner once you have logged in.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. A list of the countries we ship to is available in the drop drop down menu during the checkout process.
Can I make changes to my order?
Once an order is placed, you cannot make changes. However, you may return the item.
What is your return policy?
If you're not satisfied with your purchase, please return the item(s) for an exchange, refund or credit.
All returns must be in the original condition that you received them in. We do NOT accept back washed items. If a washed item is returned, we will refuse it and ask you to pay to have it returned to you.
All returns must be made within 30 days of placing your orders. We no longer accept returns or exchanges after the 30 day period.

In order to process your return, please include your name, email address and order number along with the items that you are returning.
How do I return something?
Please fill out the return form on the back of the invoice that was shipped along with your package. Indicate what you are returning and why. Please specify if you would like an exchange, refund or store credit.
How long does it take?
Returns can take 1-2 weeks to be processed once we receive them. When your return is processed, we will send you a notification email.
The item I received was defective or incorrect. Do I have to pay to ship it back to you?
If you received the wrong item or if the item is defective, we will reimburse you for the cost of shipping the item back to us. Please send the item back regular USPS mail and include your receipt with the return (please keep a copy for your records). We will not reimburse for express shipping. We also cannot refund the original shipping cost.
I sent back a return, but haven’t heard anything back.
Returns can take 1-2 weeks to be processed once we receive them. When your return is processed, we will send you a notification email. Check your spam folder to make sure the notification didn't get marked as spam.
